Synopsis

Shapeshifter is an immersive, location based improvised theatre piece where visitors step into a strange and compelling narrative about the circle of time and a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The experience blurs the line between physical and virtual perceptions, using multi-reality sets, props, live actor-driven avatars and production techniques uniquely developed in Prox & Reverie’s innovation studio labs.

Approach

We wanted to create an experience that is only possible because The Forge exists as a hybrid creative studio and innovation lab. Shapeshifter represents a new approach to location based immersive experiences where the story and the technology have been developed together in lockstep. The result is an immersive multi-sensory story experience that is both enthralling and different for each visitor and every story session.
